M&S Iron Works employees receive extensive safety training to OSHA standards, which is in addition to their standard on-the-job training. They are taught to work efficiently, but also safely at all times.
An important part of each Foreman’s responsibility on a project is to insure that the work site is safe to the public and other trades working on the project, both during and after workday hours.
Because of these high standards, and our continued focus to safety, we have one of the best safety records in the industry. Some of the specific features of our excellent safety training include:
- Training to OSHA 10, OSHA 30, Sub Part R standards
- Training to rig steel, and operate forklifts and aerial lifts
- Training and certification in HAZMAT identification
- Regular use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
This emphasis on safety training ensures all our employees fully understand the possible dangers associated with the work we do and will proactively take steps necessary to minimize these dangers on the job.
